Church's hat trick helped the Bears crush the Canadians 6-0

Adam Church led the way with a hat trick as the Smiths Falls Bears crushed the Carleton Place Canadians 6-0 in a home game at Smiths Falls Memorial Centre in Smiths Falls. Moreover, Jack Ryan posted a shutout, stopping all 23 of Carleton Place shots throughout the game. The Smiths Falls Bears took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Adam Church and never looked back.

Joey Warywoda contributed with 3 assists.

During the first period, Church opened the scoring for the Bears with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 10:47 with a helper from his teammate Russett. Richardson put in a goal at 18:02 with an assist from defenseman Cuffley.

In the second, Larabie deposited a goal at 4:42 with helpers from his linemates, Todd and Warywoda. Church netted a goal at 9:09 with assists from his linemates, Kettyle and Romeo. Garneau scored a goal at 13:03 with helpers from his linemates, Nicholson and Warywoda.

In the third, Church put in a goal at 5:20 with an assist from fellow Bears forward Warywoda.

Smiths Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Ryan’s shutout, as he stopped all 23 of the shots he faced. Ryan’s counterpart, Redmond, also had a big night, managing to stop 16 of 20, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Smiths Falls Bears’ record to (1-1-0-0).
