Lasers End Bears Winning Streak with 3-0 Victory over the Bears

The Bears were on a roll, having won their last 3 games and earning 7 of 8 points in their last 4 games as the schedule winds down, but the Kanata Lasers had other thoughts Thursday night at the Kanata Rec Centre. The Lasers evened the season series with Smiths Falls at 3 wins apiece as they shutout the locals 3-0.

Kanata jumped out to a 2-0 advantage after 20 minutes of play, scored another late in the 2nd period and cruised through a scoreless 3rd period.

The Bears offence disappeared as they posted only 14 shots on the Kanata goalie Gabriel Carriere, while Brad Dobson faced 37 shots.

Bears leading scorer Alex DiCarlo saw his 6 game point streak come to an end.

Dobson was selected as the game’s 3rd star.

The Bears are back in action on Friday night when the Kemptville 73’s make their final appearance of the regular season at the Bears Den.
