Late goal as the Bears fall to the Colts 5-3

David A Poirier scored the game winning goal late in the game as the Smiths Falls Bears narrowly lost to the Cornwall Colts 5-3 in a home game at Ed Lumley Arena in Smiths Falls. Moreover, the Smiths Falls Bears' defense had a poor night, allowing Cornwall 27 shots throughout the game.

Theo Todd contributed with 2 goals and Tate Leeson did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Jeremy Quesnel delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Ethan Mulhearn chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first, Mcrae opened the scoring for the Colts with a goal at 19:35 with a helper from his linemate Maccormick.

In the second, Mulhearn netted a goal at 1:10 with helpers from his linemates, Quesnel and Collins. Todd finally put Smiths Falls on the board with a goal at 4:44 with an assist from his teammate Leeson. Todd deposited a goal at 14:26 with helpers from his linemates, Rincke and Russett.

During the third period, Testani answered for Cornwall with a goal at 15:58 with an assist from Massie. Leeson quickly followed with a goal at 17:34. Poirier quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 18:40 with helpers from Quesnel and Mulhearn. Quesnel quickly followed with a goal at 19:05 with an assist from fellow Colts forward Mulhearn.

This loss brings the Smiths Falls Bears’ record to (3-6-1-2).
