SMITHS FALLS, ON – The Smiths Falls Bears, in conjunction with the Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL), are proud to announce that forward Andrea Blais has officially committed to Norwich University for the 2026-27 NCAA season.

Blais, a 2006-born native of Quebec City, QC, is currently in the midst of a standout second season with the Bears. Known for his high hockey IQ and relentless work ethic, the 6’1” forward has recorded 14 points (6G, 8A) through 32 games this season, serving as a vital component of the Bears’ offensive depth and specialty teams.

“We are incredibly proud of Andrea and his commitment to such a prestigious program,” said the Smiths Falls Bears Hockey Operations department. “Since arriving in Smiths Falls, Andrea has shown a tireless commitment to his development. Norwich is getting a high-character individual who understands what it takes to win at the next level.”

Joining a Legacy of Excellence
By committing to Norwich University, located in Northfield, Vermont, Blais joins one of the most storied programs in NCAA Division III history.
