The Bears defeat the Raiders 3-2

The Smiths Falls Bears' offense had a big night, peppering the Nepean Raiders with 28 shots throughout the game. The Smiths Falls Bears took the lead late in the second on a goal from Ryan Richardson.

Ryan Richardson chipped in with 2 goals.

In the first period, Richardson opened the scoring for the Bears with a goal at 15:01 with assists from his teammates Coltart and Coltart.

In the second, Mattawashish answered for Nepean with a goal at 8:20 with helpers from his linemates, Horvath and Bourhas. Dicarlo answered for Smiths Falls with a goal at 14:08 with assists from his linemates, Warywoda and Larabie. Richardson quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:03 with a helper from fellow Bears forward Leeson. Clark quickly followed with a goal at 15:56 with an assist from Miles.

The Bears’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Dobson as he stopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced. Dobson’s counterpart, Bateman, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 28, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Smiths Falls Bears’ record to (1-0-0-0).
