The Bears shutout the Lasers 4-0

Kyle Renaud posted a shutout, stopping all 25 of the Kanata Lasers shots throughout the game. The Smiths Falls Bears took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Hunter Garlasco and never looked back.

Nicholas Prestia had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Hunter Garlasco delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first, Garlasco opened the scoring for the Bears with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:16 with helpers from Prestia and Gervais. Shannon quickly followed with a goal at 8:07 with helpers from his linemates, Dicarlo and Hart.

In the second, Larose put in a goal at 15:57 with assists from Larabie and Harley. Prestia quickly followed with a goal at 16:25 with assists from his teammates Garlasco and Coltart.

Smiths Falls’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Renaud’s shutout, as he stopped all 25 of the shots he faced. Renaud’s counterpart, Hektor, also had a big night, managing to stop 26 of 30, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Smiths Falls Bears’ record to (5-5-0-0).
