During the third, Rhodes deposited a goal at 2:11 with helpers from his linemates, Barnaby and Browne. Mahi-Beaudry quickly followed with a goal at 2:42 with assists from his linemates, Falivena and Buckley. Dowdall answered for Smiths Falls with a goal at 5:17 with helpers from his linemates, Lalonde and Garlasco. Searle deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:31 with assists from Harley and Larose.
The Bears’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Dobson’s big night as he stopped 36 of the 40 shots he faced. Dobson’s counterpart, Smith, also had a big night, managing to stop 38 of 43, but ultimately fell short.
