The Bears defeat the Nationals 3-1

The Smiths Falls Bears' offense had a big night, peppering the Rockland Nationals with 26 shots throughout the game. The Smiths Falls Bears took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Michael Larose.

Marc Shannon delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Michael Larose chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

During the first period, Scrivens opened the scoring for Rockland with a goal at 13:51 with a helper from Boucher.

In the second, Shannon finally put Smiths Falls on the board with a goal at 13:18 with helpers from Larose and Searle.

In the third, Larose deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:51 with assists from his linemates, Shannon and Dicarlo. Hart scored a goal at 18:19.

The Bears’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Dobson as he stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced. On the other hand, Dobson’s counterpart, Storr, and Rockland’s defense did not have such a great night allowing 2 goals in 25 shots.

This win brings the Smiths Falls Bears’ record to (7-13-2-1).
